Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2008 (VSTFS) integration with Project Server 2007
Are your developers currently using VSTFS 2008 is to track and report progress on project team tasks? If you have deployed Project Server 2007, then your developers may be required to status their assignments on the same tasks in two different systems, both in VSFTS and Project Server (via Project Web Access).
The integration of VSTFS with Project Server 2007 will streamline this statusing process with a single point of entry for statusing project task assignments.
Southern Project Group will engage with you to deliver the integration of VSTFS 2008 (TFS Connector) with Project Server 2007. Scope of work will include:
- Installation of the Project Server/VSTFS connector
- Configuration of VSTFS and Project Server connector
- Validation Testing of the integration
- Documentation
- User Training
Please understand that the TFS Project Server Connector is a Codeplex release (third party), it’s free of charge, and community supported and is not supported by Microsoft through their usual support channels. You can find out more about the connector at http://www.codeplex.com/pstfsconnector.
It is our understanding that Microsoft is in the development phase of a TFS Connector for VSTFS 2010 and Project Server 2010. We will keep you up to date as we learn more. |
