Delivering Peak Performance

We have gathered some of the very best Authors, Facilitators, Technical Consultants and Instructors from Academic, Business and Project Management disciplines. All of our consultants, authors, facilitators and instructors are either Project Management Professionals (PMP® Certified by PMI) or are Microsoft Certified Engineers, MCSE, MCT with MCP and MCTS certifications.

Robert Neal Boring, PMP, MCTS is President and Managing Partner of the Southern Project Group, Inc. (SPG) with offices in Atlanta, Georgia Houston, Texas and San Jose, California. Neal has over 18 years as a Project Manager as well as delivering Project Management Training & Consulting services to organizations such as Lockheed-Martin, Ford Motor Company, Johns Hopkins University, MCI, United States Air Force Academy, Maxtor, SunTrust Bank, 3rd Evolution, ITC Deltacom and Cox Communications.

Neal is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) for Microsoft Project Server 2007. Neal’s formal project management engagements include; Microsoft Project Server 2002/2003/2007 Enterprise Project Management Solutions, Business Process Improvement and New Product Development (software & hardware). 

Neal has also trained over 3000 individuals on Microsoft® Project and Project Management processes focused around the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®).  The Southern Project Group is a sponsor of the Atlanta Microsoft Project User Group (MPA).

Susan Cobb, MCSE, MCT is the Chief Technology Officer for Southern Project Group.  With over 20 years of industry experience, Susan has extensive capabilities in network architecture design, system architecture design, server sizing, scalability planning and custom development of solutions based on the Microsoft Project Server platform, the Six-Sigma Accelerator and all supporting technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005, SQL Analysis Server, SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 Server products, Terminal Server, Internet Information Server and SharePoint Products and Technologies.  She is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), a Microsoft Certified Trainer and is certified to deliver the Microsoft EPM Solution.

JIM JACKSON, PMP VP, Enterprise Project Services, Southern Project Group

Jim has over thirty years of experience in business and strategic planning, system design and software development, supply chain management, distribution, logistics and ERP system integration, project management, and business process improvement for companies in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, Retail, Finance, Mass Merchandising, and Telecom.  

His primary involvement is overall project manager responsible for the planning, analysis, design, development and installation of various supply chain systems, including warehouse and distribution systems, inventory control systems,  merchandising and financial accounting systems, and business intelligence and business analytics. This experience included the design of automated computer system applications, using high-speed networks, hand-held computers and radio frequency bar code label devices. These systems ranged from inventory management and tracking systems, to fully integrated distribution management systems with real-time interfaces to the HOST ERP systems.

Jim is a member of the Project Management Institute and has introduced the Project Management, Program Management Office (PMO), Project Portfolio Management, and Change and Problem Management methodologies to customers and assisted in the definition and implementation of these critical processes. 

Jim was selected as one of Computerworld’s Top 100 CIO’s in 2002.

Bob Higgins, Management and Business Operations Consulting  

Mr. Higgins is a Management and Business Operations Consulting professional with over 20 years of Program Management, Operations Management and PMO experience. His primary industry subject matter expertise includes governmental, healthcare, consulting services, engineering & construction, and technology development/deployment.

 Mr. Higgins is a Management and Business Operations Consulting professional with over 20 years of Program Management, Operations Management and PMO experience. His primary industry subject matter expertise includes governmental, healthcare, consulting services, engineering & construction, and technology development/deployment. 

Mr.Higgins' prior experience includes operational and management-level roles and responsibilities, working with private and public sector entities, including Massachusetts DEP, KPMG Consulting (now BearingPoint), Fluor Daniel GTI, Merck, ExxonMobil, Warner Lambert, Raytheon, ARAMCO, and more.

He has an extensive consulting experience working with many world class organizations such as Fidelity Investments, State Street Bank & Trust Company, Bank of America, Putnam Investments, and more. He has also consulted with Commonwealth of Massachusetts healthcare agencies as well as U.S. Government agencies.

Mr. Higgins holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and is also a Lean Six Sigma Practitioner.

Martha Legare, PMP has been coach, trainer and consultant to Fortune 500 companies since 1982. As CEO of the Gantt Group, she is also a certified PMP, member of the Project Management Institute’s National Marketing Team and mediator for the American Arbitration Association. Martha has designed and delivered numerous seminars and developed Project Offices in the US, Mexico and Europe. Prior to founding the Gantt Group, she attended John F. Kennedy University’s MBA program while being a principal in a San Francisco Bay Area organization development consulting firm. Martha’s management experience includes serving as a general manager of a leading manufacturer and establishing a retail business where she increased the initial investment by 16,667% in 3 years. Martha is an innately strategic thinker with strong cross-cultural skills and a steadfast commitment to improving clients’ businesses.

Suji Goudar, Senior EPM Consultant

Suji has over 10 years professional Project Management experience and holds a Masters degree in Computer Information Systems. He has experience managing and developing software systems ranging from Mainframe to Client/Server to eCommerce and Web Development in addition to automotive engineering.  Most recently, brought in by Texas Pacific Group and successfully deployed SAP 4.7 globally within Gategourmet after 8 years of failure to over 100 locations to over 2500 users, within 18 months.  He has extensive experience with all aspects of business process re-engineering and system development lifecycle Methodologies (from analysis through delivery), incorporating object-oriented, structured-analysis, and rapid application/prototyping techniques.  In additi on he has working knowledge of CMM and Six Sigma methodologies.

Mr. Goudar has extensive experience with delivery assurance, systems architecture, and staffing and implementation management for large-scale system development projects. This includes in-depth knowledge of Web technologies and Intra/Internet product development. His experience also encompasses sales life cycle, client management, training, customer support, production support, and network operations.   He has also demonstrated the ability to manage multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams with diverse geographical locations.

Mr. Goudar has demonstrated throughout his professional career the ability both to be self-driven and to lead small-to-large delivery organizations. His extensive management, lifecycle, and technical knowledge are key elements in his proven success as a leader in delivery, operations management, and business development.  Mr. Goudar has successfully conducted numerous 2002/2003/2007 EPM full lifecycle engagements from requirements through training .
